Grant In Aid
The Asheville City/Buncombe County Retired School Personnel Scholarship Fund/Grant-In-Aid was established in 1989 to assist Nursing students at Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College to further their education.
The first time financial assistance was awarded was for one student for $500.00 for a one-year period.
In recent years, two students were honored with $500.00 each for a one-year period.
Most recently, the Executive Board decided to increase the Grant-In-Aid amount to equal a semester's cost for tuition. The decision to increase the grant amount was based on our understanding of the increasing costs of tuition for students at AB Tech.
Donations are collected at NCRSP meetings during the year. Or you can make a once a year donation at the March meeting.
Today, the Asheville City/Buncombe County Grant-In-Aid lives on as an opportunity for you to honor or memorialize a loved one. You may want to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, memorial, or honor someone in your family or a good friend by a donation to our grant fund.
